+ WHAT KIND OF MAINTENANCE DOES THE REDSHIFT REQUIRE?
Unlike gas bikes which need regular oil and filter changes, the Redshift requires little to no regular maintenance. Other than taking a moment to adjust the chain and check tire pressure, you won’t need to take time away from your life to wrench. Additionally, not having to worry about top and bottom end rebuilds will keep money in your pocket and your wheels on the road.
+ WHERE CAN I FIND THE OWNER’S MANUAL?
Our Owner’s Manual is located in the footer of our website. If you run into any problems you can’t figure out, give your local Alta dealer a call - they're your best source for parts and service. If you'd like to contact the Alta team, send us an email at email@example.com
+ WILL THERE BE FARKLES?
One exciting benefit of not having a clutch is being able to put your rear brake lever on the left handlebar. This gives riders incredible control over the application of the brakes. To purchase this and other accessories or replacement hardware, call your local Alta dealer.
+ IS THERE AFTERMARKET COMPATIBILITY?
Yes. The best place to look for aftermarket products and parts is at your local Alta dealer. Alta is working with leading aftermarket groups to bring the best hardware and customizable components to our riders. These will be available to you through our Alta dealer network.
+ WHAT ABOUT SPARE PARTS?
Yes, we want you to love your Redshift and to ride it hard. Spares of any parts will be available at your local Alta dealership.
+ WHERE IS THE WARRANTY MANUAL?
In brief, our Off-road models(MX/MXR) carry a 12 Month Limited Warranty on the frame, mechanical drivetrain, and electrical Powertrain. Our Street-Legal models(SM/EX) carry a 12 Month Limited Warranty on the frame and Mechanical Drivetrain, and a 24 Month Limited Warranty on the Electrical Powertrain. + CAN I CONVERT THE REDSHIFT MX TO A STREET-LEGAL MOTORCYCLE?
Many states allow owners to register their dirt bikes as street-legal machines after the addition of proper DOT compliant lighting, mirrors and switchgear such as the ones on the Redshift SM, and DOT rated tires. California is one state where this is not possible, but please look into your local legislature, or consider our Redshift EX - a street-legal trail bike.
+ CAN I RACE MY REDSHIFT?
The introduction of electric motorcycles to the race world has caught some folks by surprise. As it stands, competition qualifications vary on a case-by-case basis. Contact your local race authority to determine regulations.
